Reflexology

About Reflexology:
Reflexology is a complementary therapy based on the theory that there are reflex areas in the feet and hands that are believed to correspond to all organs and parts of the body. Reflexology can be a wonderfully relaxing experience. The therapist's expert touch will help you relax which can improve mood, aid sleep and relieve tension. The result is an overall sense of well-being and can help the body to achieve an improved state of homeostaisis.

The Session:
You will be asked about your health concerns and medical history. After reclining in a comfortable chair and removing footwear and socks, I will first relax the feet and then perform the precise reflexology movements involving suitable pressure from the fingers and thumb. Most people fall asleep during the session and wake up feeling very relaxed. A lot of people have monthly treatments for their relaxation and health and well-being.

Who I have helped over the years:
I have found that reflexology has helped re-balance hormones when there have been symptoms of PMT or menopausal / peri menopausal when given weekly for 6 weeks and then monthly thereafter ( usually but this can differ occasionally depending on individual circumstances) . It has helped alleviate chronic constipation and other bowel issues as well as hay fever, sinus issues, digestive issues, migraines and headaches, and stress-related symptoms as well as backaches, and tension.  It has helped to calm and relax through cancer treatments and helps the mind and body to remember what it is like to feel “ at ease”. It has helped alleviate muscular aches and pains as a first aid type treatment and many others.....

Who Could Benefit?
Almost anyone! It is suitable for all ages as well as during pregnancy. ( those with a history of DVT cannot have reflexology and you will need to wait for a few weeks after surgery ) .
